Paint your home. Newly painted rooms look clean and modern. Neutral colors are a good choice, especially if you’re thinking of selling. Neutrals appeal to most people. A simple coat of paint can make a world of difference!
Landscaping matters. Plant shade trees. They are beautiful and over time will save you money on your air conditioning bill. Plant low maintenance, drought-tolerant plants. They look very nice, improving the curb appeal of your home and making your yard more enjoyable. Trim up your existing plantings so they are not hanging over sidewalks and they look neat.
Update the bathroom and kitchen. Small changes can really make these rooms shine. A new sink, faucet, door knobs or light fixture will make either room more modern and appealing.
Consider a home inspection. A professional inspector can find even the smallest of problems, like a water leak and it’s always easier and less expensive to fix small problems. I can give you a reference if you need one.
These inexpensive updates can make your home more enjoyable for you while you live there. They will also increase your home’s value and appeal to buyers should you choose to sell. Updating now will also help alleviate some of the stress of moving when you’re ready to sell.
